{Taste} Tell us about it: Your favourite ice cream shoppe

We all have at least one in our rural Ontario necks of the woods: an ice cream shoppe that we long to visit on long summer afternoons, or after dinner on a hot Sunday evening.

We want to know: what’s yours? Where do you go to get the best ice cream around? And, possibly most importantly, what is the most unique (and most delicious) flavour you can find in your area?

Tell us by:

We will compile your answers into a “Ruralist reader’s guide” post, similar to last year’s {Try} Café Love: Ruralist Reader’s Guide to Ontario Cafés post.

I’m drooling just thinking about it…

  • Arlene Hope - The Nest Egg is my favourite ice cream spot and found in a little town called Seeleys Bay. The creamy delicious scoops are huge and in 32 flavours. The owners appreciate their customers by having special events as well as ice cream specials. Their adjoining craft store features local artisans making their little niche extra special. I just can’t drive by without dropping in and they are open from early May till Christmas.ReplyCancel
